I just read a news blurb on ESPN that the SEC (Southeastern Conference) has fined Urban Meyers $30,000.00 dollars for publicly criticizing the officiating during last weekends game against Georgia.

As much as I like to hear about bad things happening to the University of Florida and especially their football program. This ruling is just silly, fining a coach for stating his opinion regarding the officials smacks of extreme censorship in my opinion.

I understand the SEC adopted these rules and they certainly need to clean up college athletics. But not at the expense of the ability to freely express ones opinion.
