I had an individual post a comment on Twitter concerning Kink Friendly Law saying the basically I was a pro-gay blog too afraid to admit it. Perhaps of late, I have tended to write about issues and problems facing the gay community. Because as I see it these are issues that could effect almost any group or practice that is outside the “norm”.
And if anyone is still unclear that the real agenda of the Republican party is moving the United States back in time and becoming a county control more by radical evangelicals than the ideals put forward by the Founding fathers in the Constitution only need to look at the local Republican platforms in Texas and Montana. I hoped that State delegate Bob Marshall was an anomaly, but apparently he isn’t. In fact, the newly elected governor is cut from the same homophobic cloth. By stripping away legal protection for LGBT Virginians. Its now perfectly legal in governor Bob McDonnell’s Virginia to be fired solely on the basis of your sexual orientation. Virginia State delegate Bob Marshall is heading a personal crusade to change the time honored slogan the Department of Tourism came up with years ago, “Virginia is for Lovers” to the more appropriate ”Virginia is for Haters”. Or at least in Bob Marshall’s twisted little world. Marshall claims that children born with disabilities are God’s curse on the mother for having an abortion. Read the rest of this entry »
Antiquated laws are a part of the American political and legal landscape. And for the most part are laughable to the point of absurdity. However in California one antiquated law in particular is no laughing matter. Apparently THE only problem the State legislation of New Hampshire has to debate are the merits of anal sex. Or at least that seems to be the case in Representative Nancy Elliot’s small corner of the State capital.
