Recently, I was at my quarterly appointment with my Infectious Disease Doctor who is primarily responsible for treating my HIV. I was asking about a new delivery system for a drug I take called NORVIR which is a protease inhibitor which makes my other two anti-virals more effective. The current delivery system for NORVIR is a gelatin capsule which requires refrigeration and tends to cause or exacerbate stomach problems. The new system will not require either refrigeration nor will it be a gelatin capsule. Read the rest of this entry »
